Just in: Nadine Lustre and Viva Talent Agency have finally come to an agreement over their heated legal battle.
Although few details have been disclosed, both parties have resolved all pending claims. Atty. Gideon Peña, one of Nadine’s legal counsels, took to Twitter to release an official statement.
It says, “Nadine Lustre and Viva Artists Agency have settled their legal issues under terms that are fair and mutually beneficial.
“Nadine and Viva have agreed to continue their professional relationship on an exclusive basis until 31 December 2029 with Nadine retaining her rights to decide on matters in connection with her branding and image. To avoid future misunderstandings, both parties have agreed not to make any further comment on the matter.
“For now, Nadine and Viva remain committed and focused on providing quality entertainment.”
Talks of the settlement first broke earlier in November, when Nadine’s counsels released an initial statement regarding the ongoing negotiations between the two parties.
The rift between Nadine and Viva started when the actress decided to terminate her contract in January 2020. The agency quickly took legal action, which then resulted in a resolution ordering Nadine to honor her contract with Viva.
Nadine has been a Viva talent since 2009 and skyrocketed into superstardom in 2014 after the launch of her love team with ex-boyfriend James Reid.
The actress is currently filming her comeback film with Vivamax entitled Greed, starring alongside Diego Loyzaga and Epy Quizon. Last November, director Yam Laranas has shared a glimpse of the film, which already looks like a promising suspense-thriller.
