All’s well that ends well. According to an article on PEP.ph, Mother Lily Monteverde and Marian Rivera recently patched things up during the actress’ press conference for the movie My Lady Boss. The event was incidentally held at Imperial Palace Suites, which is owned by Mother Lily herself.
The two women’s misunderstanding reportedly stemmed from Marian’s alleged refusal to do a movie with Regal Films. The movie, which was also supposed to star Judy Ann Santos, was originally intended to be the company’s official entry in the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival.
“All the writers, they were calling me and saying, ‘Mother, bakit wala ka sa festival (Mother, why aren't you in the festival?)?’” Mother Lily was quoted as saying in the same article. “So, I was so depressed and I was so emotional na, I might as well just reveal and tell the truth.”
However, Mother Lily also said that they should just let bygones be bygones. “Marian, you are my daughter. and I don’t want to rock the boat.”
“Past is past. Let’s be together. Let’s work in harmony.”
