The crown has come home! Catriona Gray has been crowned Miss Universe 2018 at Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, Thailand, taking the title three years after Pia Wurtzbach.
Catriona has wowed the crowd since the preliminaries with her signature lava walk that has launched a thousand memes, and has been considered one of the strongest contenders for this year's competition.
She's followed by first runner-up Tamaryn Green of South Africa.
And the second runner-up is Sthefany Gutiérrez of Venezuela.
Catriona also competed in the Miss World 2016 pageant, and finished in the Top 5.
As Miss Universe, Catriona will be the face of the Miss Universe Organization which aims to give back to different communities through non-profit initiatives. Some of its past initiatives included Pia Wurtzbach's work as the USAID goodwill ambassadress, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere's campaign with Smile Train, and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters's advocacy "Unbreakable" which aims to educate women to fight against violence.
