On Friday, January 13, Miss British Virgin Islands Erika Creque posted photo on her Instagram page where she mistakenly identified Miss Universe 2016 major investor Luis "Chavit" Singson as President Rodrigo Duterte.

Nerisa Almo of PEP noted that Creque's caption reads: "Was an honor meeting the President of the Philippines Mr. Rodrigo Duterte! One love from the British Virgin Islands!"

Netizens pointed out Creque's mistake and she graciously acknowledged them by replying, "Thank you." She immediately edited the caption. This endeared her to netizens who commended her for being humble.

For the record, Singson is a supporter of Duterte. He is a former governor of Ilocos Sur and is currently a councilor in the town of Narvacan.
