Max Collins and her boyfriend, Pancho Magno, surprised the entertainment industry with their engagement in April. The two have been in a low-key relationship for four years, and it's only now that Max revealed some interesting bits about them.

During a recent Facebook Live session of Max's management, PPL Entertainment Inc., the Kapuso actress opened up about Pancho's sudden proposal, their upcoming wedding, and their faith.

"Parang hindi pa kami ready," said Max about their engagement. "It happened in Boracay. During that time, my mom was running for councilor sa Aklan. Pumunta kami sa Boracay para tulungan siya. Then, nagpaalam muna siya sa lola ko, sa mga tita ko, at sa mom ko. Hindi ko pa alam 'yun, 'yun pala, kakuntsaba niya ang mom ko. Sabi niya, 'Nagpaalam na ko sa lahat, sa 'yo na lang hindi.' Tapos 'yun, lumuhod siya."

Max and Pancho, being polar opposites, initially didn't see themselves ending up together: "Iniisip namin, eventually, maghihiwalay rin kami kasi parang ang layo ng personalities namin sa isa't-isa."

But, what changed in their relationship was their faith. At 25 years old, Max had her doubts about settling down at such a young age, but being drawn closer to her Church made her realize that all she and Pancho want in life is a happy Christian family.

"Noong naging malapit ako sa Church, nakikita ko how in love 'yung mga pastor sa asawa nila, 'yung relationship nila as [a] family. They're such good examples, and we realized na we both want that also. So 'yun ang dream namin—maging happy Christian family. 'Dun namin nakita na deeper na nga ang relationship namin."

And being the devout Christians that they are, Max revealed that she and her fiancé are not having sex before they get married:

"We just want to make everything right in the eyes of God, that's what's important to us. Kasi that's how God designs it, 'di ba?"

Max and Pancho, 30, are set to hold their wedding at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City on December 11.
