Fans were not disappointed when Marian Rivera walked the ramp at the FHM 100 Sexiest Women victory party at the World Trade Center on July 10. The actress, styled by Liz Uy, wore a gold two-piece bikini as well as a spectacular pair of golden wings.
Although this is not her first time to walk for FHM, the actress admitted that she enjoyed this experience more. “Mas buo ang loob ko ngayon, mas handa ako (I have a firmer resolve now, I’m more prepared),” she was quoted by PEP.ph as saying. "At feeling ko, mas reding-ready po ako (And I feel that I’m more ready.).”
When asked how it felt to be crowned FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the Philippines, Marian answered, “Paano ba? Naku, mahirap... ang importante, pauli-ulit ko ngang sinasabi, kahit anong ganda mo, kahit anong seksi mo, kung wala naman yung mga taong nagmamahal at bumoboto sa ‘yo, e, useless din (How do I say this? What’s important, and this is something I always say, is that it doesn’t matter how beautiful or sexy you are if the people who love you and vote for you aren’t around.).”
The actress, however, also confessed that she was nervous until she saw the crowd. Boyfriend Dingdong Dantes, whom Marian had reportedly asked not to watch her walk the ramp, apparently also gave her words of encouragement before the show.
“Well, sabi niya sa akin, 'Ikaw na ‘yan. Gawin mo lang ang dapat mong gawin at wala ka namang dapat patunayan (Well, he told me, ‘It's all up to you. Just do what you have to, and you don’t have anything to prove.’).”
So what’s next for FHM’s Sexiest? “Well, open ako sa lahat ng puwede kong gawin ngayon. That’s why, may wings talaga ako (Well, I’m open to everything that I can do now. That’s really why I have wings.).”
