On July 13, celebrity columnist Ogie Diaz tweeted a blind item about a certain pregnant celebrity with the initials M.R.

“True ba? Buntis si M.R (Is it true? Is M.R. pregnant?)? If true, congrats! If not true, disregard my question.” Read Ogie’s first post. “Mamili kayo kung sinong MR ang buntis daw ngayon (Choose the MR who’s reportedly pregnant) (but let's wait for her to admit or deny): Marian Rivera, Mariel Rodriguez o Maricar Reyes?”

A few hours later, he posted another tweet confirming the news.“Sumusumpa ang source ko. Buntis daw si M.R. Eh kung totoo man, congrats (My source swears by it. M.R. is pregnant. If it's really true, congrats!)! A Lady will soon be a Mom.”

However, Marian Rivera, one of the actresses Ogie mentioned, just laughed off the rumor.

“Dyusko! Kakatapos ko lang ng FHM, nakita naman nila yung katawan ko 'dun. Hindi (Oh my god! I just at the FHM [victory party], and they saw my figure. I’m not [pregnant]!)!” she was quoted as saying in an article on PEP.ph, referring to her much-awaited walk during the recently concluded FHM 100 Sexiest Women Victory Party.

“So, kinukumpirma ko ‘yan—hindi ako buntis!” she continued. "At kung buntis man ako, hindi ko itatago ‘yan dahil nakita ko ang mga nabuntis kung gaano sila kasuwerte at kung gaano sila kasaya pag may anak na sila. Sabi ko, sa buhay ko, sa buhay ng tao sa isang babae, sino ba namang ayaw magkaanak, 'di ba (So I’m confirming it—I’m not pregnant! And if ever I get pregnant, I won’t hide it because I can see how blessed and happy pregnant women are with their children. I told myself, as a woman, why wouldn’t I not want to have a child, right?)?"

"Pero sa pagkakataong ito, hindi ako buntis (But at the moment, I’m not pregnant),” she concluded.
