An article on ABS-CBNNews.com says that Maja Salvador was left speechless when she was asked on Showbiz Inside Report about how she will balance love and friendship after what she has recently gone through.

"Gusto ko po siyang sagutin, kasi importante pa rin siya para sa akin. Mahirap i-explain eh (I want to answer it because it’s still important for me. It’s hard to explain)," she tearfully told host Zoren Legaspi.

The reason behind Maja’s cryptic answer is her budding romance with Gerald Anderson, which led to her rumored feud with former best friend Kim Chiu, who was Gerald’s ex-girlfriend.

"It took her, like, 10 minutes bago niya masagot [iyong tanong] dahil iyak siya nang iyak," Zoren later said, saying that she had to stop crying before she was able to answer the question. "Makikita mo sa pag-uuusap namin na meron siyang mabigat na dinadala sa kanyang puso (It took her, like, 10 minutes before she was able to answer the question because she kept crying. You can see from the interview that her heart is very heavy.)."

Moving on to a lighter topic, Zoren then prodded the actress about the status of Maja's relationship with Gerald. "Ganoon na ba kalalalim ang samahan niyo (Is your relationship already that serious?)?" he asked, referring to the photos showing Maja and Gerald scuba diving together.

"Nasa caption naman eh (You can see it in the caption)," the actress replied.

However, Maja’s mother, Thelma Andres, who guested alongside her daughter on the show, seemed hesitant to give Gerald her approval.

"Hindi pa masyado [kampante], anak, kasi nga hindi ko pa nakakasama. Maayos naman siyang kausap, at alam ko namang mabait na tao," Thelma said. "Basta hindi lang siya paiiyakin, hindi sasaktan. Ayoko lang kasi siya (Maja) nakikitang ganoon kasi ako 'yung mas lalong nasasaktan (I’m not yet very comfortable around him because I haven’t spent time with him yet. He’s okay to talk to, and I know he’s a good person. As long as he won’t hurt her or make her cry. I don’t want to see her like that because I’m the one who will hurt more.)."
