Maja Salvador admitted to PEP.ph that she is currently dating a non-showbiz guy, whom she first met when she was still in high school. Maja only gave a few hints about his identity, but it appears that things are going really well for the Wildflower star and her new romance.
But why haven't they been spotted together yet? She explained, “Lumalabas kami, pero siguro kasi sanay na 'yung tao na nandun siya sa group ko kasi magkaibigan na kami for fifteen years.”
All she’s willing to divulge now is that she finds it better to be dating a non-showbiz guy this time around.
She pointed out, “Okay kasi iba 'yung foundation. 'Yung friendship buung-buo.
“Kung anong nangyayari sa mundo niya, nangyayari sa mundo ko. Maraming napag-uusapan.
“Fifteen years na magkaibigan, so kabisado namin ang isa’t isa.”
This is also why, according to Maja, her mystery man has no problems adjusting to her celebrity status.
The interview was held during the January 13 press con for her Maja On Stage concert comeback. Her hit afternoon series Wildflower will soon draw to a close, so Maja is gearing up for her concert series, which will kick-off in Cebu on February 4.
So how does she balance her time for career and love?
Smiling, Maja replied, "Kung masugid naman 'yung love life mo, wala namang problema dun, kasi meron at merong time.
"'Pag bata ka kasi, hindi mo talaga alam ibalanse ang lahat, e.
"Or tayo, nagpo-focus kasi talaga tayo 'dun sa 'yung tingin natin dito tayo magiging successful. Pero siguro pag naaral niyo na 'yun, kung saan ka masaya, kung saan ka magiging successful...
"Hindi lang kasi dapat yun ang iniisip natin, ang pagiging successful.
"Kung saan tayo magiging happy, hindi lang 'yung sarili mo; 'yung meron ka ring peace of mind, 'yung puso mo masaya.
"Pag nagamay mo na 'yun lahat, magiging maganda 'yung flow ng lahat."
Maja’s last high-profile relationship was with Gerald Anderson. They were together for two years before parting ways in April 2015.
