It was in July of last year when TV host admitted that he and fellow Kapamilya star Jessy Mendiola were dating. “Lumalabas kami. Kasi kapag-deny ko 'yon ay magagalit kayo sa aking lahat. Mukha naman akong tanga kapag dininay ko ‘yon,” he says in a report.
The 36-year old TV host and now Century Tuna’s newest brand ambassador is more vocal about his relationship with the former FHM cover girl. During the launch, he was asked whether he thinks Jessy is “The One” and he responded that they’re both taking their time.
“Our love story is very, very steady but I’m not forgetting the fact that she’s 24 and I’m turning 25. Oh, I’m turning 36 this April, so para sa akin, I completely I understand that she still has so much responsibilities for herself, for her family, I can’t and I will never take that away from her.”
He also adds, “I respect her timetable the same way she respects my timetable. But when she’s ready I’ll definitely be right by her side. We’re definitely taking our time.”
The actor even revealed a sweet moment the two of them shared the night before. “I’m very, very happy, so fortunately I have to say, wala akong hugot, because I go to sleep and wake up with a smile. Sinabi ko sa kanya kagabi, naglalambingan kami, we were talking about love; it sounds so generic, sobrang hugot, sobrang corny, pero nagbabatuhan kami hanggang sinabi ko sa kanya na, “I can spell love with only one letter and that is ‘U’”.
