We all know 17-year-old Juliana Gomez as a celebrity daughter with ace Instagram skills. But what most people don't know is that the woman behind her double-tap-worthy shots is actually her mom, Lucy Torres. After attending the Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho nuptials in Paris, Juliana posted a precious Instagram pic of her mom, with iPhone in hand, caught in the whole seriousness of taking the perfect 'gram for her daughter at the Opera Garnier.
"My personal photographer for almost every trip," Juliana wrote in the caption.
A few days ago, Lucy also posted the same photo, but, this time, paired with a birthday message to her daughter. Lucy wrote a lengthy and heartfelt greeting to Juliana as she turned 17 years old:
"Time and again I get asked what I want you to be when you grow up. But from the day you were born seventeen years ago, I had already whispered to God for Him to train my heart to only want what He wants for you. And so with every birthday that rolls by (and every day, too!) my prayer has always been/always will be the same—for you to become the person God designed you to be, whatever that is. Because only then will you be able to reach your full potential, only then will life be at its most beautiful. On your special day, allow me to gently remind you that over and above being the best or the greatest (whatever those words mean in today's world now), I want you to be kind. And compassionate. Lucy went on to reference the candid photo with a super sweet message:
"P.S. This photo perfectly captures another thing I want to tell you—that I will always be your cheerleader, and your biggest fan."
