Despite their workload in Leyte, she as representative of the 4th District and he as mayor of Ormoc City, political and showbiz couple Lucy Torres-Gomez and Richard Gomez are wishing to have a baby.
"I really wanted even until now,” the 43-year-old mom told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
“If God wants to have me to have a second child, I'd gladly have or two more,” she added.
Lucy said Juliana has always been comfortable being an only child, which probably explained why she was not enthusiastic about having a baby brother or sister.
The actress-turned-politician told PEP.ph, "She said she's happy being an only child.
"But I tell her it may be because she hasn't experienced what it's like to be an only child.
"She's never lonely because our home is always open to all her friends."
Lucy shared she would usually prank Juliana with pregnancy news when she wanted her attention.
"Yung favorite ko na pampagulat sa kanya... kunyare parang aalis siya or ang busy-busy niya…
"I’d say, 'Juliana, I have something to tell you but don't tell your dad yet...'
"'What?' 'I'm delayed...'
"Makikita mo talaga yung… 'Mom, mom, you can't be pregnant!'"
PEP.ph caught up with Lucy at Randy Ortiz's 30th anniversary fashion show, #RandyO30, held at the Peninsula Manila Hotel in Makati City last November 26.
AWESOME ATE
For all of Juliana’s protestations, Lucy could see her daughter as an awesome ate.
She said, “Si Juliana kasi, by nature, she's very thoughtful and nurturing, e.
"I know na should she become an ate one day, she will be a very good ate.
"She's very caring to the people around her, so how much more sa sibling?"
The 43-year-old celebrity mom often posts on Instagram her fondest and funniest moments with Juliana.
On November 23, in another exclusive interview with PEP.ph, Lucy recalled a time when Juliana was little.
She would ask her every night to help pray for her baby sibling.
Lucy narrated, “They say kasi that the power of a child, iba rin kasi their heart is so pure.
"So every night, sabi ko kay Juliana, 'Pray naman for a baby brother or baby sister...'
"And then one night, siguro sa kakaulit at kakaulit, she said habang nagna-nod siya kunyare in agreement.
"Sabi niya, 'Mama, dog na lang.'"
