Not all friendships can survive rivalry, but Kris Aquino’s relationship with Vice Ganda seems to have escaped relatively unscathed.

In an interview with Boy Abunda on her morning show, Kris revealed that having competing movies during the Metro Manila Film Festival (she with My Little Bossings and Vice Ganda with Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy) affected her friendship with the It’s Showtime host.

“Yes. Let’s be honest, siyempre may effect sa amin (of course, it has an effect on us),” Kris was quoted as saying by PEP.ph.

However, the unease between the two personalities proved to be quite short-lived, as they have now kissed and made up. According to Kris, “He said, ‘Lakas talaga,’ gano’n ang sabi niya (He said, '[the movie] is really strong,' that's what he said.).

“Then I told him, 'Tapos na 'yan, ha (Then I told him, "That's over now, right?)?'

“Sabi niya, 'Oo naman. Nagulat lang ako na ganun sila kalakas (He said, 'Of course. I was just surprised that it was this strong.).'

“Tapos sinabi ko, 'Bata e,’ ‘yon lang (And then I said, 'You know kids,' and that was all.).

“Since that time, we've been texting. We are okay.”

For Kris, this is simply another phase in her friendship with the comedian “Naisip ko na lang na happy-happy, we all won (I realized that we should all just be happy-happy, we all won),” she said.
