Rated K host Korina Sanchez’s absence has not gone unnoticed. While people are speculating that the ABS-CBN management might have suspended her due to a remark she made about CNN reporter Anderson Cooper on her dzMM radio show Rated Korina on November 14, a network insider claims that she is merely on vacation.
Now, Korina says that both are actually untrue, reports PEP.ph. The controversial reporter put an end to those rumors when she talked to Rated Korina’s temporary host Jasmin Romero via phone patch just this morning.
“Kasi Jasmine, maraming espekulasyon kung bakit wala ako sa studio last week (You see, Jasmine, there are many speculations as to why I wasn't in the studio last week),” the host said on air. “'Yung mga espekulasyon, hindi naman totoo ‘yan (Those speculations are not true.).”
She went on to explain that she and her crew were doing a Rated K special for those who were victimized by super typhoon Yolanda. “Inaayos ko lang itong for airing namin, 'etong darating na Sunday (I'm just fixing this for our airing this coming Sunday.).”
“So, ayun, uulitin ko lang, matagal nang naiplano itong paglilibot na ito (So, again, I just want to reiterate that this trip was planned long before.).”
She also stressed that her absence was in no way related to the CNN controversy. “Huwag lang sanang pilit na ikinokonekta sa iba pang bagay, ha (Let us please stop forcibly connecting this to other things, okay?)?” she said.
