Rumors that Rated K reporter Korina Sanchez was suspended by the ABS-CBN management do not appear to be true, reports PEP.ph.
The news anchor recently made headlines when she mentioned on her dzMM radio program Rated Korina that CNN reporter Anderson Cooper did not know what he was talking about, when he allegedly said that there was no government presence in Tacloban in the aftermath of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
Anderson responded by saying that he was misunderstood and had nothing but kind words for the resilience of the Filipinos. In his Twitter account, he posted, "The Philippines is an awesome country. I'm in awe of the strength and spirit of the people I've met. Mabuhay Philippines! Maraming salamat!"
ABS-CBN has yet to release an official statement, but according to a network insider, Korina is merely on vacation and that her Sunday night program Rated K will not be affected.
