Winning Best Drama Supporting Actress at the 27th PMPC Star Awards for Television for her role in the primetime drama Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala is KC Concepcion’s latest career high.

In an interview with Boy Abunda on Buzz ng Bayan, the actress said that receiving the award “was a dream come true” and that she is “very grateful,” reports KC further said that the award serves as validation that she has what it takes to be in show business.

I can say that, 'Hey, those kids whose parents are famous in their profession can also make a name for themselves through their own hard work.').'”

In the same interview, KC also clarified that she and rumored flame Paulo Avelino are good friends. “Ay, wala, friends, good friends... walang label (Oh, there’s nothing, friends, good friends... There’s no label)!” she was quoted as saying.

The Urian Best Actor awardee has reportedly been giving the actress tips on character-building.

Since priority ko nga ang work ko ngayon as an actress, ang ganda rin na pag-usapan 'yung trabaho namin (Since my work as an actress is my priority at the moment, it's nice to talk about our job),” said KC.

Asked whether she ever thought that this was Paulo’s way of courting her, KC simply laughed and answered, “Well, magaling siyang manligaw (Well, he's certainly good at it!)!”
