KC Concepcion had been quick to defend her mom, Sharon Cuneta, regarding her recent spat with detractors on the social networking site Twitter, saying that her actions were understandable.

“It’s something that I understand,” KC was quoted as saying in an interview with PEP.ph. “Unang-una sa lahat, medyo umo-overboard talaga 'yung ibang bashers, kahit sa ‘kin in the past. But, being a mother… Ah, ang mommy naman mas lalong nasasaktan para sa isang anak (First of all, some of the bashers really went overboard, even those who bashed me in the past. But being a mother… a mommy would be more hurt for her child.).”

“We should really be careful who we believe here on Twitter,” the Megastar was also quoted in saying in another PEP.ph report. On November 14, she responded to a parody interview of a fake Kris Aquino, thinking it was the real thing. “Krissy” was asked for her opinion regarding Sharon’s Twitter activity, to which she had answered, “I don't follow her. Ayokong ma-stress aha-ha-ha But I follow KC.”

When the fake interview was brought to Sharon’s attention, the Megastar had tweeted, “Yaan na natin. Di ko rin naman sya fina-follow ever. Sasakit ang ulo ko (Let's leave it alone. I never followed her either. I'll just get a headache.).”
