KC Concepcion recently asked for space from her French suitor Pierre Plassart despite acknowledging him as "husband material."

"Husband material na nga 'yung taong 'yon, kaya lang hindi pa ako ready, kaya nag-setback muna ako," she was quoted as saying in an interview with ABS-CBNNews.com. "Siya 'yung tipong settling down type na, alam mo 'yon? Wala pa ako sa level na 'yon and I'd been very honest with him about it (He’s husband material, but unfortunately, I’m not yet ready, so I asked for a setback. He’s the settling down type. I’m not yet on that level and I’ve been very honest with him about it.)."

However, KC clarified that she hasn’t turned down Pierre’s advances, and she still envisions a future with him.

"Hindi naman basted--ang sakit naman noon kasi nag-uusap pa din kami,” she said. "It's just that he knows na I need time, he needs time. At sabi ko kilala ko ang sarili ko na kung gusto kong tuldukan ang relationship, totally tuldok na talaga 'yon (I didn’t turn him down—that would hurt, as we still talk. It’s just that he knows that I need time, he needs time. I know that if I wanted to end a relationship, it would really be final.). And I told him we don't know what is going to happen in the future."

"Sabi ko, ‘You are still the guy that I want to end up with,'" she continued. "Nasa kanya na lahat ng hinahanap ko except sa wala pa ako sa level na ready na akong mag-settle down (I told him, 'You're still the guy that I want to end up with.' He has everything I’m looking for except that I’m not yet at the level where I’m ready to settle down.)."
