20-year-old singer-actress Selena Gomez has separated from her boyfriend, 18-year-old pop star Justin Bieber. "Because of their crazy schedules, it was getting harder and harder to maintain a relationship," a source was reported as saying by E! News.

News of the young power couple’s breakup broke on November 9, shortly after Justin was seen with 19-year-old supermodel Barbara Palvin in New York. The two, who met during Justin’s performance at the Victoria’s Secret show on November 7, had watched the Broadway musical Lion King together.

Selena was allegedly the one who broke up with Justin because she apparently cannot trust him when they were apart. "She broke up with him about a week ago," a separate source was cited as telling People magazine. "With them being apart so much it got complicated. She had some trust issues. It's not easy, but the relationship needed to end."

"I don't know what to say," Justin had said when he was interviewed about his split a few hours after it was publicized. "I don't know what's going on in my life. To even assess that it doesn't make sense 'cause I have not made any comment."
