Actress Judy Ann Santos has denied the rumor that she and her husband of four years, Ryan Agoncillo, had filed for annulment, saying that it would be impossible for them to do so without the whole country knowing.

“Mayroon bang secret na annulment? Hindi ba wala?” she was quoted as saying in an article on PEP.ph. “Sa napakaraming tsismosa dito sa Pilipinas, maisi-secret mo ba ang annulment (Is there such a thing as a secret annulment? It doesn’t exist, right? With all the rumormongers in the Philippines, can you even keep an annulment a secret?)?”

She likewise dismissed Ryan’s rumored womanizing, saying that there’s nothing wrong with him having female friends and that she trusts him completely.

“‘Susmaryosep, napakaguwapo mo, Ryan!’” she exclaimed. “Naaawa ako, nahihiya ako sa mga babaeng kaibigan ni Ryan… 'Yung trust and loyalty ni Ryan, 150 percent ‘yan. Hindi talaga ‘yan [mababago] kahit kailan. Malalaman mo na honest na tao si Ryan kasi hindi siya magtatago sa 'yo. Kung ano ang ayaw niya, sasabihin rin niya (My god, Ryan, you’re so handsome! I’m embarrassed for Ryan’s female friends… Ryan’s trust and loyalty is at 150 percent. That won’t ever change. You’ll know that Ryan’s an honest person because he’ll never hide the truth from you. He’ll speak up if he doesn’t like anything.).”

However, Judy Ann did not deny that she and Ryan still have a few misunderstandings from time to time.

“May mga moments naman na may mga issues kami ni Ryan. Hindi naman bed of roses itong pagkakasal namin ni Ryan. May mga pinagdadaanan din kami, hindi lang halata,” she confessed. “Pero kung anuman ang pinagdaanan namin, it makes us stronger and it makes us better persons. So, wala ‘yon, deadma lang (I and Ryan go through a few issues sometimes. Our marriage isn’t a bed of roses. We also have some struggles, but we don’t publicize them. But whatever it is that we’re going through, it makes us stronger and it makes us better persons. So that’s nothing, we just brush it off.).”
