Actor Joshua Jackson recently took a three-week trip around the world.

The former Dawson's Creek star was working in the Philippines when he decided to vacation in France over the holidays.

"(It was) one trip around the entire planet," he told Live! with Kelly and Michael on Friday. "It was a crazy trip. I went from Los Angeles to Tokyo, Tokyo to the Philippines. I spent 10 days in the Philippines... shooting a documentary for National Geographic...

"Then (I went from the) Philippines to Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi to Paris, then Germany, Germany to New York, then Los Angeles in 21 days."

"(When I got back) I started rehearsals, literally arrived back to New York to start rehearsals on a play," he continued. "I (went) through literally every single one of the time zones, so I'm not sure if I was jet-lagged or just some place else."

Despite the difficult trip, Jackson made some great memories on his adventures: "The Philippines was pretty magical," he recalled. "We were down south on an island called Cebu and were scuba diving. It's just so, so beautiful... and obviously you can't really beat Paris at Christmas."

The actor spent much of his trip with his longtime girlfriend, German actress Diane Kruger.
