John Lloyd Cruz, who is known for being quite protective about his personal life, has opened accounts on social networking sites Twitter and Instagram on January 31, ABS-CBNNews.com reports.

Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN, had earlier welcomed the actor by tweeting, “Welcome @johnlloydcruz08 on Twitter and Instagram! :) The official account of John Lloyd Cruz! Follow na guys!"

John Lloyd then thanked Star Magic for his first tweet. “Thank you @StarMagicPhils for the welcome!”

The actor later greeted his fans, saying “Hello guys!” He also posted a photo showing him being prepped for a photo shoot by makeup artist Steven Doloso.

As of 11:20 A.M. on February 1, the actor now has 6,361 followers. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Angelica Panganiban, remains one of the most followed Filipino celebrities on the site, with 2,378,971 followers as of writing.
