Actor John Lloyd Cruz and actress Shaina Magdayao are no longer together, a trusted source told PEP.ph on October 24. The relationship started unraveling on October 8, at Bea Alonzo's birthday party, the source recounts. Shaina and John Lloyd were present at the bash, and so was Ruffa Gutierrez, who once had a relationship with the latter.
But it was after Vina Morales's birthday concert on October 17--when John Lloyd reportedly talked to exes Ruffa and Liz Uy--that Shaina started sending Ruffa text messages. She allegedly used John Lloyd's cellphone to send the texts, which, another PEP.ph source confirms, said, "Leave us alone!"
When John Lloyd discovered what Shaina did, the two of them supposedly got into a fight, which eventually led to their breakup.
The two have not admitted to breaking up, but John Lloyd revealed his relationship with Shaina is indeed on shaky ground at his contract signing with ABS-CBN on October 24. "To be honest, hindi maganda ang bagay-bagay ngayon. 'Yon lang ang masasabi ko. (To be honest, things are not looking good right now. That's all I can say)," he is quoted as saying on ABS-CBNNews.com.
He clarifies, however, that whatever is happening has nothing to do with any of his exes. He also says he still loves Shaina. "Hindi 'yon mawawala at mananatili lang 'yon doon. Ayaw ko lang magbigay ng statement na makakalala. (That won't disappear, and it will always stay. I just don't want to give a statement that will make things worse.)"
In a separate interview on ABS-CBNNews.com, Shaina denied that John Lloyd talked to either Ruffa or Liz at the concert.
Ruffa also confirmed that nothing happened. "For me, that issue is so over and done with," she tells ABS-CBNNews.com.
On talk show Paparazzi on October 23, however, Ruffa revealed that Shaina did send her "not very nice and not very kind" messages after the concert, which triggered her to post a series of angry Tweets on her Twitter account. "Direct insults came," she says, as reported on PEP.ph. "A lot of curse words, things like that. Pero for me, I'm so happy na with my life. I'm so blessed."
