Jessica Sanchez, the 17-year-old Filipino-Mexican songstress who placed second in American Idol’s 11th season, will be playing Frida Romero, a talented singer who becomes a threat to William McKinley High School’s New Directions Glee Club on the hit musical TV series Glee. ABS-CBNNews.com reports that the talented teenager will be singing two songs, Zedd’s “Clarity” and Little Mix’s “Wings,” on the show’s season finale, which will be aired in the Philippines on May 10.

In a behind-the-scenes video posted on YouTube on May 7, Jessica shared a few of her experiences while taping for the show.

“I absolutely love both of the songs... It’s so much fun,” she was quoted as saying in the article. “I’m just feeling it, getting into the groove.”

She likewise admitted to being a huge Glee fan on the video.

“I’ve always been a big fan of Glee. Being here and actually seeing them in person, I did get starstruck. It’s crazy. I see them on TV all the time. It's like, weird, but it’s so much fun because they’re so friendly and so nice and down to earth,” she said.

Glee mainstays Darren Criss and Becca Tobin also had nothing but praise for Jessica’s astounding voice.

"Jessica Sanchez is killing it," said Becca, who plays Kitty.

“She’s a talent juggernaut. She’s from the Fox family, she’s from American Idol. I was like ‘Is that voice coming out of her body?’ It’s amazing,” said Darren, who plays Blaine on the series.
