In 2010, Charice Pempengco made an appearance on the US TV series Glee as a Filipino exchange student named Sunshine Corazon. Now, it seems that another Pinay is about to get featured on the said show. According to a report from ABS-CBNNews.com, American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez will be joining the cast of Glee.

ABS-CBNNews.com adds that Jessica's participation in Glee was confirmed by TVLine.com. “Indeed, Jessica Sanchez, whose monster pipes and near-perfect pitch carried her all the way to a second-place finish on Season 11 of American Idol, is nearing a deal to join Glee‘s fourth season in a multi-episode arc, TVLine has learned exclusively,” the article reveals.

In previous interview with ABS-CBN News, the Mexican-Filipina singer shared that while she had not yet tried out for a role in the show at the time, “... there are definitely things happening on the side for me,” she was quoted as saying.

Details on Jessica's role have yet to be released.
