Although actor Jericho Rosales has admitted readily to having a girlfriend, he refused to reveal her identity to the press until the lady in question told her he could. It seems the couple is ready to go public now, as Echo revealed that his girlfriend was 24-year-old model and TV host Kim Jones during an interview on The Buzz on Sunday, March 4, reports PEP.ph.
The actor revealed that he met Kim on a commercial shoot; they were introduced by Dominic Ochoa’s wife, Denise Go. He was instantly smitten, admitting, “Parang na-stunned ako. Parang natameme ako! Hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko. (It was like I was stunned. It was like I was speechless! I didn’t know what I should do.)”
He went on to explain that he was impressed with the light, relaxed vibes he got from her. They had dinner with Dominic Ochoa’s kids and siblings, and he was charmed by the lack of awkwardness in the way she interacted with the kids. “Feeling ko, ‘Uy, family-oriented,’” he shared on The Buzz.
The couple started out as friends, the better because they shared a love for surfing, and Echo does admit to one challenge: “Nahirapan lang talaga ako—yung accent niya, kasi, talagang ang kapal-kapal dati. Australian talaga. (I had a hard time [understanding her] because her accent was really thick, very Australian.)”
When asked if Kim was “The One,” Echo was reluctant to commit to an answer, but he did say, “Of course, when you are in a relationship, you hope for the best, expect the worst and you hope for the best para, at least, prepared ka.”
