At a press conference held last January 30, Jennylyn Mercado revealed that she never stopped her ex-boyfriend Patrick Garcia from visiting their four-year-old son, Alex Jazz.

“Hindi…Walang gano’n, not true. Hindi totoo. Walang katotohanan 'yun (No... that’s not true. There's no truth in that statement),” she was quoted by PEP.ph as saying, adding that Patrick was allowed to visit his son anytime he wanted.

However, she was hesitant to talk further about the issue brewing between them, asking the press to respect her and her family’s privacy.

“Wala na lang, for Jazz’s sake, and respeto na lang din sa amin at sa pamilya ko (I won’t say anything else, for Jazz’s sake, and out of respect as well for me and my family),” she said.
