Jennylyn Mercado has recently agreed to talk about her breakup with Luis Manzano for the first time. The couple, who have been together for almost two years, parted ways in October. According to entertainment columnist Ricky Lo, the two “simply fell out of love.”
While Jennlyn has kept mum about the issue for quite some time, she revealed in an interview with PEP.ph that she is doing fine.
“Gusto ko lang i-assure lahat po, sa lahat ng sumusuporta at sumusubaybay sa akin, na okay ako. At huwag po kayong mag-alala, masaya na po at okay na po ang lahat (I would just like to assure every one, all my supporters, that I'm already okay. Don't worry, I'm happy and everything's fine),” Jennylyn was quoted by PEP.ph as saying.
The actress also denied that a third party has caused their breakup. She also refuted rumors claiming that her former boyfriend Dennis Trillo caused her split with Luis.
“Kung may naririnig po kayo na hindi magaganda, kilala niyo naman po ako. Alam niyo naman na hindi ko gagawin ‘yung mga naririnig niyong negativity. Kahit kailan po, hindi po ako na-link sa kahit kanino, na nasa relasyon po ako. Never po naging isyu ‘yan sa amin, lalo na ‘nung nasa relasyon pa ako. Gusto ko lang po i-clear na hindi po totoo, at wala po sa ugali ko na bumabalik sa mga ex ko (If you've been hearing negative feedback, you know me as a person, and you know that I am not capable of whatever negative things that you've been hearing about me. I was never linked to another person while I was in a relationship. It was never an issue for us, even while I was in a relationship. I would just like to confirm that those rumors are not true, I don't rekindle relationships with old flames),” she said.
