Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up Janine Tugonon has admitted that she regrets spilling the beans on her breakup with ex-boyfriend Jaypee Santos in their Kris TV interview back in April.
"The only thing na hindi ko na gagawin is ‘yung ginawa ko sa Kris TV (The only thing that I won’t do again is what I did on Kris TV). I think I made the right decision, for me ha, we made the right decision of ending whatever we have. ‘Yun nga lang, ‘yung Kris TV interview ko (It’s just that, my Kris TV interview…)… Oh, man, jeez. I was so stupid. I admit I was stupid,” ABS-CBNNews.com quoted the beauty queen as saying.
Janine had cited The Script front man Danny O’Donoghue as the cause of the split, but she would later on clarify that nothing romantic was going on between them.
Although she was saddened by the controversy, Janine says that she has moved on. According to the report, she is currently in the United States studying acting at the New York Film Academy.
“Oo naman (Yes, I’ve moved on), of course, and I'm here now in the U.S. and people here are very different. Mas pareho sa personality ko na very straightforward, very spontaneous (The people here have the same personality as I do--very straightforward, very spontaneous),” she said.
However, when asked if she has found a new love, Janine replied, “Wala, wala (None, none).”
