Say what you will about Jessy Mendiola, but this we can all agree on: The 23-year-old actress turns heads wherever she goes, and the recently concluded 2016 Asia Pacific Actors Network (APAN) Star Awards held at Sangam Culture Plaza in Seoul, South Korea was certainly no exception.
Proving yet again that she's a force to be reckoned with, Jessy was present at the event as the first Filipina actress to have been honored with the Best APAN Star Award. During the awards night, she was also introduced to several Hallyu stars, including Descendants of the Sun’s Song Joong Ki who even posted a photo of them together on his official Facebook fanpage.
Jessy tells Preview, "We are both tourism ambassadors for South Korea, so we just happened to be introduced. I didn't recognize him at first, but I'm actually a fan of the Song-Song couple! Turns out, he's a super nice guy."
Seeing her dressed to the nines, we’re not exactly surprised that even the famous Korean heartthrob took notice of her. Jessy showed off her flawless gam in a custom-made robe dress by John Rufo and then finished off her red carpet look with a sleek updo plus her signature red lip to boot.
"We wanted to go minimalist yet chic. Since she'll also be representing the country, we thought the no-fail classic look is perfect for Jessy. You can never go wrong with it," says her stylist, Ica Villanueva, who wrapped it up with simple stud earrings and a pair ofYSL heels.
Way to go, Jessy!
