We weren't expecting another engagement announcement so soon after Dingdong Dantes professed his love for Marian Rivera on live TV, but over the weekend, news of Heart Evangelista's engagement to boyfriend Senator Chiz Escudero broke out when the actress's closest friends Lovi Poe and Alessandra de Rossi posted very telling photos on their Instagram accounts seen here and here!

Interestingly enough, it was roughly one year ago when Heart said that she was not yet ready to settle down. In an article published in August of 2013, Heart was quoted as saying, “The idea is nice, it’s wonderful. But there’s so much to do, naghahabol ako ng oras.”

“You cannot turn back time 'pag may mga anak na... ‘I wish to do this. I wish to do that.’ And then you will live your life through your daughter or to your child. I don’t want to do that. I want to be able to share my experiences. I have yet to discover and go on an adventure with what I have now, the time that I have—being independent.”

It's amazing just how much a year can change a person's perspective.
