Gretchen Barretto does not mind being called an outfit repeater.
For celebrities like her who are regularly seen on Instagram, eagle-eyed netizens can easily nitpick on details, most especially, OOTDs.
Besides, the actress-socialite has a huge walk-in closet filled with luxury clothes, bags, shoes, accessories, and many more, so it's quite a revelation for her to say that she has recently learned the art of mixing and matching.
She said in a series of now-expired posts on Instagram Stories, which were posted on the second week of November 2021.
Gretchen gave her followers a tour of her room, which had a rack full of clothes on one side.
As she expressed her excitement over wearing some of those dresses, she said, "I've learned to mix and match para hindi na tayo masyadong bumibili ng mga admit. So what I'm trying to do is wear all my clothes before only because... we can play with the clothes."
Gretchen also reiterated that she is not ashamed of repeating clothes, especially those she bought from at least a decade ago. She considers it an achievement that she is able to fit in these clothes 10 to 20 years later.
She explained, "I feel like, right now, I'm not ashamed to like repeat outfits because I think it's a blessing to be able to wear clothes that you wore 10 years, 15, 20 years back. Para lang masuot ko ulit at masabi kong, 'Oh my gosh, mas payat ako ngayon kaysa when I was 20 years... how I was 20 years ago.' Blessing na yun, okay lang."
The actress also quipped that her life partner TonyBoy Cojuangco is happy with her decision to repeat outfits.
Gretchen said, "And then, sabi ni Dada, 'Ayan, para makatipid-tipid naman tayo.'"
Based on her Instagram feed, Gretchen has been spending time at home with friends and family. She has also been doing several photo shoots from her home.
She also recently congratulated her daughter Dominique Cojuangco on her engagement to her non-showbiz businessman boyfriend Michael Hearn.
