Twitter was abuzz early this week when clothing brand Penshoppe started posting about a mysterious muse who would be joining "IMPACT," their all-star show for Philippine Fashion Week, which will be held on May 26. On their official Twitter account, @PENSHOPPE, they wrote, "CONFIRMED: A "Queen" is coming to town--this is what #IMPACT is all about xoxo"

The last part of the tweet alerted netizens that the star who would be arriving was from popular TV show Gossip Girl, in which the narrator signs off with the "xoxo" line, but it was only on May 22 that the brand finally revealed their new endorser's identity. "You read it here FIRST: Leighton Meester @itsmeleighton is confirmed to arrive in Manila, Philippines, for the big @PENSHOPPE show #IMPACT," they tweeted.

Leighton plays socialite Blair Wardolf, one of the main characters in Gossip Girl. Ed Westwick, who portrays her main love interest, Chuck Bass, in the series, is also a Penshoppe endorser. He visited the Philippines in June 2011 to shoot ads for the brand.

Leighton and Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder--who is already in the Philippines to shoot ads and attend the show--are the latest foreign celebrities to be added to Penshoppe's all-star roster.
