Gerald Anderson's Christmas gift for his mom, Evangeline Opsima, was a table filled with jewelry.
The Kapamilya actor posted on Instagram a video of his mom's reaction on Sunday, December 23.
He initially pulled a prank on her, and screamed a robber broke into their house. Upon reaching their dining area, Mommy Vangie was speechless at the sight of all the sparkly pieces.
In the same post, Gerald said he chose the gift because his mom always wanted to have customized jewelry.
"Matagal nang nagre-request mama ko ng customized jewelery. meron siyang style na gusto talaga niya mula nung bata pa lang kami. pero di namin afford nung bata pa ako.
"So sinuprise ko siya, ginising ko siya sa kwarto niya, sumigaw ako na may pumasok na magnanakaw sa bahay para lumabas siya agad [smiley emoji]. surprise [smiley emoji]
"Just giving back for the 9 months dala-dala niya ako sa tiyan niya [pregnant mom emoji].. #Dearmama"
Meanwhile, another video showed that his mom was giggling while flashing her diamond-studded ring from Tessera Jewelry.
Gerald's caption echoed what Mommy Vangie said: "Sana pala ngayon ko daw binigay sa kanya yung [smiley emoji] Merry Christmas everyone .. @tesserajewelry"
