Gerald Anderson has finally admitted outright that he likes Maja Salvador, but he also said that they are still in the dating stage of the relationship game and are not yet a couple.

“Yes, nag-i-start na akong mag-date, wala namang masama doon (Yes, I’ve started dating, there’s nothing wrong with that.). And that’s all I can say,” he was quoted by PEP.ph as saying. “There’s always the right time,” he continued. “May tamang lugar… meron namang time para sa lahat. Like I said, wala po akong itatago sa inyo. She’s very special to me, yes. Pero, kumbaga, sa akin na 'yun. Sa akin na 'yun (There’s a right place… there’s a time for everything. Like I said, I don’t have anything to hide from you. She’s very special to me, yes. But that’s private. That’s private!)!”

Gerald likewise admitted that he had liked Maja for quite some time now.

“Matagal ko nang nararamdaman… alam mo yung feeling na siyempre… Matagal na akong single,” he said. “And you know, I found someone na gusto kong… gusto kong makasama, gusto kong mas makilala pa. Masaya ako pag kasama siya. So, bakit ko ipagkakait ang sarili ko sa ganun, di ba (I’ve felt that for a long time… you know how it feels… I’ve been single for a long time. And you know, I found someone whom I want to be with, whom I want to get to know more. I’m happy when I’m with her. So, why should I not allow myself that?)?”

He also insists that he has learned from his past romantic endeavors.

“Alam ko rin po yung ano… nakakagawa ako ng mali sa buhay ko (I also know that I’ve made mistakes),” he said. “I’ve made mistakes, I’ve learned from it. Pero kumbaga, alam ko kung ano yung mali na yun… 'yun lang po ang masasabi ko (But I know what those mistakes were… that’s all I can say.).”
