Exes Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu are starring in the upcoming ABS-CBN "triathlon telenovela" Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin, which airs on Monday, May 1, on the pre-noontime slot (before It's Showtime).
In anticipation of the show's debut, Gerald and Kim appeared on Tonight with Boy Abunda. During the interview, Gerald was asked what "love advice" he would give to Kim. He said he couldn't think of any because she was already "perfect."
It may be recalled that Gerald and Kim were real-life sweethearts. They broke up in 2010. Gerald said the breakup was actually his fault.
Gerald further explained, "Sa totoo lang, kung papaano po [si Kim] magmahal, sobrang perfect na, eh. Bilang isang lalaki, ako po talaga iyong immature. Hindi ko pa vina-value kung ano pang mayroon ako noon. Kapag nagmahal siya, buong-buo, eh. So napakaswerte ng mamahalin niya (The truth is, the way [Kim] loves is already perfect. As a guy, I was the one who was immature. I didn't value what I had before. When she loves, she does it wholeheartedly. So whoever she loves is very lucky)."
As for his relationship with Kim right now, Gerald said, "It's like I'm getting to know her again."
