Forbes.com lists not just Lady Gaga’s $90 million revenue but also her expert use of social media as the reasons for her gaining the top spot this year. Gaga has 32 million Facebook fans and 10 million Twitter followers.
While Oprah remains a formidable force with $290 million in earnings at no. 2, it is teen singing sensation Justin Bieber who steals the limelight this year as he makes his Forbes debut at no. 3. The 17-year-old earned $53 million from concerts, album sales, and his box office hit movie last year, says Forbes.com. His social media influence doesn’t fall behindb with one of his first ever songs, “Baby,” hitting 500 million views on YouTube.
