While scuba diving at the Anilao Resort & Dive Center in Batangas, Gab Valenciano officially asked Joann Santiago to be his girlfriend! In a whiteboard, he wrote, "Love, I want to make you the happiest person in the world. Will you be mine?" There were two choices under the question: Yes and No. And Joann responded by checking the circle beside "Yes" and wrote, "100%" under it.
He posted their couple pic on Instagram and wrote,"I don’t really know how to begin, words are escaping me at the moment. I guess I can start by saying thank you.
"Thank you for being my second wind in life. Thank you for understanding me in ways nobody ever has. For believing in me and accepting me despite my shortcomings. For showing me that life can be simple. And thank you for loving me unconditionally, just when I thought I have given up. You are my second chance and I will make this count.
"I am lucky to know you, beautiful one. Even more blessed to have you. I love you, Jo. Excited to journey through life with you."
In a post on IG Stories, Gab reveals he met Joann after he told himself to stop "looking for a companion." They clicked right away and started dating, but he walked away for fear of getting hurt. But it seems that everything worked out because after a "tough and confusing week," they patched things right up.
Gab was previously married to host and blogger Tricia Centenera. The two remain friends, and both seem to have moved on as Tricia is expecting a baby girl with partner Duane Santos.
