In what seemed like just other celeb-filled event, a high-end luggage brand's anniversary party turned out to be a reunion of controversial ex-lovers Heart Evangelista and Jericho Rosales. On Thursday, November 30, Heart and Echo, along with his wife Kim Jones, were among the celebrities in attendance at the super intimate (there were just 12 guests to be exact!) dinner.
While we obsessively refreshed our Insta feed that night for updates on the exes, host Tim Yap posted the now-iconic shot of Heart and Echo having a chat. And the internet, as we know it, went crazy.
Netizens compared their meeting to Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone's musical La La Land (we all know how that ended *tears*).

Snippets of Heart's Cosmopolitan July 2012 cover story—where she called Jericho her "one true love"—even went viral. Back then, Heart just broke up with Daniel Matsunaga and was not yet with her current husband Chiz Escudero.

But as Tim wrote in his caption, Heart and Echo, whose three-year relationship ended back in 2008, were really just two old friends meeting again. And we should leave it at that. At the very least, we can all learn a thing or two from this former couple about how to act when you see your ex in public: Keep calm, and smile!
