Angelica Panganiban has been a fixture in the local showbiz world for 20 years. From a sweet-faced child star (who could forget her role as Becky in Sarah ang Munting Prinsesa?), she has transformed into one of the biggest actresses of her generation. But even if she has become a larger-than-life personality, she still remains down to earth, professional, and refreshingly real—truly admirable considering she’s been in the public eye almost all her life.
During the cover shoot for the September 2012 issue of Women’s Health, Angelica showed us why she’s so in-demand and well-loved by her many millions of fans. She was punctual, and she did not mind the sweltering heat at the badminton court where the shoot was held. She was game to do all the poses photographer Sara Black told her to try, and she answered all our interview questions so candidly that it was quite easy to forget that she’s one of the most popular celebrities in town.
