You can't blame fans—especially those who grew up in the '90s—for wanting to see exes Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino star in a movie together. The two have, after all, been teasing their followers by posting flirty messages, surpises, and photos meant for each other. (They even greeted each other on their would-have-been anniversary!) In case you didn't know, the two broke up after dating for six years because they weren't mature enough at the time. Their last project together was in 2014, which was an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Fans of CarGel finally got the new movie they've been asking for when word got out that Panganiban and Aquino were working together on a new project in February and when the photos of the look test were posted by director Dan Villegas in April. And now, fans can swoon over the latest photos from the movie, which is entitled Exes Baggage.
The photos show a neon-lit bar with Panganiban and Aquino sitting together. In another photo, they're sharing a table and smiling while looking at their phones.
In addition to the photos, a short teaser was also posted on production company Black Sheep's Instagram page. In the quick video, the two leads can be seen laughing and sharing a few drinks, before a quick shot of them getting serious. According to makeup artist Joshen Van Lee's Instagram page, Aquino's character is named Nix. Other than that, plot details are still scarce. But with Villegas' heart-wrenching movies like Changing Partners, Walang Forever, and The Breakup Playlist, you can expect a tearjerker on the way.
