Kelsey Merritt getting into the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is huge—not just because she's the first ever Pinay to do so, but it means that it's possible to expect more Filipina faces on the VSFS runway for years to come! In case you're reading this and need a primer on who could possibly be cast for the future VS Fashion Shows (New York casters, we're watching you!), here are nine Filipina models to eye on:

Danica Magpantay

This LA-based morena is signed in both the US and the Philippines, with LA Models and IM Agency Manila, respectively. We think she looks absolutely gorgeous in a short 'do, and would definitely spice things up if she'll be cast in the VS Fashion Show!

Monika Sta. Maria

Did you know Monika is an Asia's Next Top Model alumnus? This Pinay was the runner-up from Cycle 3, and is currently signed with Major Model Management in NYC! This proves that Pinays have been slaying it on the show for years!

More From

Sharina Gutierrez

Sharina might not have reached the cut this year, but we've still got our fingers crossed that we'll get to see her on the VS runway someday! This Elite NY model definitely has the looks and talent to boot:

Geena Rocero

This veteran supermodel can also add TED speaker and LGBT advocate to her list of accomplishments. Spotted by a fashion photographer on the streets of New York when she was only 15, expect Geena to conquer the runways for years to come.

Martine Tuanquin

Watch for this girl! This Trans Pinay beauty already endorsed a body-positive swimsuit label on top of other projects. Plus, she's not all looks—she knows how to code!

Maureen Wroblewitz

Maureen recently made history by being the first Pinay winner of Asia's Next Top Model last year, so being booked for the VS Fashion Show isn't too far off, we hope! Our fingers are crossed.

Catriona Gray

Our very own Miss Universe 2018 bet recently walked at the New York Fashion Week for Sherri Hill! Oh, and she looks pretty stunning off the runway, too.

Leyna Bloom

If you're looking for an unforgettable face, look no further than Leyna Bloom! This African-Filipino model recently opened for bodywear brand, Chromat, at New York Fashion Week.

Charlene Almarvez

Charlene is currently signed with Ford Models NY, and was shot for an Underarmour Campaign and a L'Officiel cover last year!
