Erich Gonzales recently traveled to Oslo, Norway for a super special occasion: Her best friend's wedding! In case you didn't know, Erich's BFF is Vanessa Grindud, her Star Circle Quest batchmate from 2004. Erich emerged as Batch 2's Grand Teen Questor, while Vanessa stayed on the competition for a few weeks. Their friendship, however, has spanned 15 years and counting.
The ABS-CBN actress posted a sweet vlog of Vanessa's wedding to fiancé Marcus, and even shared the heartwarming speech she made at the reception. FYI, she cried. A LOT.
"Vanessa and I have been friends for like 15 years now. We met at this talent search [competition] in the Philippines. Even though we have this long-distance kind of friendship-she lives here, I live in Manila-but it never really felt that way.
"For me, Vanessa is such a light. She brings so much joy and happiness. And I guess you guys can I agree when I say that she has the purest heart. Hay, ginoo ko! *tears up* No mean bone, a beautiful soul. I always tell her that.
"Vanessa, sister, I just want to let you know that I love you so much. And I always want the best for you and you know that. For me, you are the best daughter, sister, friend anyone could ever ask for, and I know that you're going to be the best wife to Marcus, and mom to Elise. I just pray that you'll always feel loved and special every day because that's what you deserve and more.
"And to Marcus, please take good care of Vanessa because if you don't, I know where you live! Just kidding!
"So, to the newlyweds, Marcus and Vanessa, may the love that you share today grow stronger as you grow old together! Cheers!"
Another SCQ batchmate spotted in the vlog was Paw Diaz, a Batch 2 finalist. Paw currently lives in Singapore with her husband and kids.
Even if Erich and Vanessa live thousands of miles apart, they've been present in each other's important life events over the years. Erich actually spent the 2018 holidays with Vanessa and her family in Oslo. This was also the time Vanessa got engaged to her now-hubby.
