Filipinos all over the world were all smiles after hearing the praises that our hard-working nurses got in the recently concluded 70th Primetime Emmy Awards.
During the opening spiel of the show, hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost called out Hollywood for not having Filipino nurses on American TV series ER.
"Things are getting better but as we all know, TV has always had a diversity problem. I mean, can you believe they did 15 seasons of ER without one Filipino nurse? Have you been to a hospital," Che said.

It was definitely a proud moment, having the efforts of our dear nurses recognized by celebrities abroad. And topping that is the overwhelming response by netizens--both local and international--who agreed and have nothing but praises for these modern-day heroes.
