After weeks of eagerly waiting and preparing for the arrival of her first child with husband Blake Go, Divine Lee has given birth to a baby boy via scheduled C-section (CS) on May 5 at the Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu City.
The self-confessed obsessive-compulsive (OC) and type A personality has been actively documenting her experience on social media since the day before giving birth to their #LEEtleGO. Divine and Blake named their son Basquiat Delfin, nicknamed Baz. The reason behind his name will soon be revealed via the little one's new Instagram account.
"Mommy got her eyes on you," Divine wrote as a caption for the first photo she posted on Instagram after giving birth. The image shows the new mom looking at her newborn son from afar while he was getting cleaned up and she, getting stitched up after surgery.
"Yesterday, I’ve found my purpose in life. Happiness never felt so real," wrote first-time dad Blake for his first Instagram post after welcoming little Baz.
Just two days after, the new mom has been given permission to go home. If it feels like it's too soon, Divine shared her secret: she stood up and started walking as soon as she could after the surgery.
"After my CS on May 5 afternoon. I started walking yesterday morning (May 6), so docs can discharge me na today. Yay!" Divine posted on Instagram Stories on May 7.
Divine also revealed that she hadn't been updating on social media because she's busy breastfeeding. "I'm getting the hang of it," she added.
In one post, Divine shared that with little Baz just newly bathed and she sporting her binder, they are ready to go home.
"Everyone's been great. Thank you! Para kaming nagbakasyon, hindi nag-ospital!" Divine wrote on her Instagram Story about the nurses who attended to her and her baby.
Before going to the hospital to give birth, Divine had her full hair and makeup done prior to surgery. (LOL!) Divine had four bags packed (for a supposed four-day hospital stay), complete with Rajo Laurel creations as wardrobe options for her going-home outfit.
She also took one last look at her baby's tropical chic nursery (in Cebu; Baby Baz has another one in their Manila home), checked her pre-delivery weight and arranged a playlist to keep her energy up throughout the whole ordeal.
"Anak, di mo masasabing hindi ka pinaghandaan," the now new mom wrote in one of her Instagram Stories.
Congratulations, Divine and Blake!
