Descendants of the Sun will always hold a special place in my heart because it's the first-ever Korean drama I watched, and thus, got me started on my obsession over K-culture. That's why GMA-7's remake of the series is a HUGE DEAL for us fans (aka there's a lot of pressure on them not to disappoint).
But it looks like the Kapuso network is trying its best to give justice to the hit drama by staying true to the original's most unforgettable scenes. Dingdong Dantes, who plays Captain Luis Manalo in the remake (the role was originally played by Song Joong Ki as Captain Yoo Shi Jin), shared a behind-the-scenes photo of one of DOTS' most *iconic* moments! What makes it even more special is that his new leading lady, Jennylyn Mercado, is also featured in the pic. Jennylyn was recently cast as Dr. Maxine De La Cruz, whose role was originally played by Song Hye Kyo as Dr. Kang Mo Yeon.

And for those who've watched the original, you'd know that this "cellphone" scene happens in the very first episode! A super smooth Captain Yoo Shi Jin knocks a cellphone from Dr. Kang's hand while she attempts to call the police on him.
