Dingdong Dantes, who turned 32 on August 2, is grateful that his longtime girlfriend, actress Marian Rivera, blocked off four days from her busy schedule to spend time with him for his birthday. According to a report by PEP.ph, Marian had accompanied Dingdong and his family to Hong Kong and Macau.

"Nakakatuwa kasi matagal ko nang plinano," Dingdong said. "Sabi ko, 'Kung puwede, itong mga petsang ‘to, kung puwede, reserve niyo lang.' I’m sure, busy rin siya. Pero pinagbigyan niya ako, sila ng manager niya [Popoy Caritativo] (It really made me happy because I've been planning this for a long time. I said, 'If it's possible, please reserve these dates for me.' I’m sure she's also busy. But she and her manager [Popoy Caritativo] made time for me.)."

Marian and Dingdong are also known for being very generous when it comes to giving each other gifts. Just last year, the actress gave Dingdong a Ducati motorcycle worth over P1 million as a Christmas gift. But when he was asked about his sweetheart’s birthday gift to him this year, Dingdong merely replied that her presence was more than enough for him.

"Well, she treated us ng isang dinner. Pero para sa akin, it's more than enough na kasama siya," Dingdong said. "Wala na, okay na, sapat na 'yun para sa akin (Well, she treated us to dinner. But for me, it's more than enough that she was with me. I couldn't ask for anything more, that's enough for me.)."

Dingdong also admitted that he's still clueless on what to give to Marian, who will celebrate her 28th birthday on August 12.

"Honestly, wala pa, wala pa kong naiisip," he said. "Pero ako naman kasi, kadalasan, three or four days bago 'yung actual event, doon talaga merong pumasok. Doon ako may naiisip na ito yung okay, ito 'yung magugustuhan niya (Honestly, I haven't thought of anything yet. But usually, I think of something three or four days before the actual event. It's only then that I think of something that she will like.)."

As for marriage plans, Dingdong said that he and Marian haven't discussed anything about the topic while on their vacation. "A, wala, wala naman kaming napag-uusapang ganun,” he was quoted as saying in" a separate article. "Basta enjoy lang po talaga. (We haven’t discussed anything about that yet. We just enjoyed our trip.)."
