Bea Alonzo is celebrating her 35th birthday today, October 17, and it’s safe to say that she’s pretty much surrounded by love every second! Aside from receiving sweet greetings from her family and beau Dominic Roque, she also received a heartfelt tribute from fellow actress Dimples Romana, with whom she shares a longstanding friendship that roots back from their early years in the industry.
“Happiest birthday to my dearest Basha/Katrina Argos. 16 pa lang tayo, magkaibigan na tayo. We have grown together not just as actors but as friends as well. Thank you for the unending love for me and the fahmeely. And know that the doors of our home, will always be open for you 24/7 for late night chikas and even the more quiet moments,” wrote Dimples on Instagram.
In the lengthy post, she added, “Cheers to more restaurant dates 'til closing time and more of life’s beautiful surprises coming your way! God knows you deserve each one. May your light and love never run out! Love you to the moon and back. Date when you get back, please? Have a blast for me! Always here by your side!”

Touched by her friend’s gesture, the birthday girl wrote back: “Love you so much!”
The duo has been tight for decades now, with their friendship starting when they worked together on Bea’s first show Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay back in 2002. Fun fact: Dimples was originally John Lloyd Cruz’s leading lady before he went on to team up with Bea! “Siya talaga 'yung love interest ni John Lloyd (Cruz) diyan. So talagang doon kami nag-bond," The Start Up PH actress revealed in an interview.
When asked about what she likes the most about their friendship, Dimples has only the kindest words for Bea. "Ang daming taong lumipas, pero we always pick up from where we left [off]. I can call Bea as my constant, because she's always there. If ever I would need her, I would text her, hindi siya mahirap hanapin," she said.
