The Internet went into a frenzy on October 23 when Angelica Panganiban posted a black-and-white photo of a her and ex Carlo Aquino on Instagram along with the caption, "Hindi na matatapos. Lahat ng kaligayahan ngayon, para sayo. Mahal kita." Fans, of course, thought it was a confirmation that the former couple, fresh from the success of their reunion movie Exes Baggage, was finally back together. Carlo and Angelica say that they're just naturally sweet as friends, but it turns out it's not just the fans who are hoping for an off-screen runion. Even Angelica's other ex, Derek Ramsay, says he hopes the two are happy together.
After #CarGel broke up, she and Ramsay dated for six years. In an interview with Pep, Ramsay shares, "I've always said that I hope Angel will find the right guy." He reveals, "They used to date each other before. Carlo used to come to the house when Angge and I were dating back then, so kilala ko si Carlo. It's nice that they've maintained the friendship all these years kahit n'ong kami na ni Angelica." It seems like he also sees their sweet photos together because according to him, "They look really, really good together, they are very sweet together. I hope the rumors are true na nagkabalikan sila."
Though Carlo and Angelica have maintained that they're just friends, it still hasn't stopped them from enjoying each other's company—and in Japan, no less. They even dressed up as characters from the Spanish TV series La casa de papel a.k.a. Money Heist for Halloween. Aquino posted a photo of them hugging each other by train tracks with the caption, "Sweet company," while Panganiban posted a video of them with their masks on and "making out."
