ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Claudine Barretto, who seemed unable to escape from controversy despite her prolonged hiatus from show business, is slated to star in two films soon.

The 33-year-old actress is set to appear in Eternally, a romantic drama to be produced by Viva Films. The other movie, meanwhile, will be co-produced by Star Cinema, the film production arm of ABS-CBN.

Claudine, who used to be handled by ABS-CBN’s talent management firm Star Magic, left the Kapamilya network in 2009 to sign an exclusive contract with rival channel GMA-7. Her last TV role was in the 2011 GMA-7 teleserye Iglot, while the last movie she made was In Your Eyes,which was also produced by the same network.

She reappeared in the spotlight this year due to the feud between her relatives and her reported separation from her husband, Raymart Santiago.
